Rufuos Browed Flycatcher

Came across a family of three, most likely two adults and a Juvy on a routine birding trip. The adults were flying in circles probably trying to act as a diversion of sorts. The smaller bird followed one or the other adult birds in their flight. However it was less mobile and tend to perch more often.

Olive-backed Woodpecker (Male)

Whilst I was focused on the Daird's Trogon, the call and pecking sounds distracted me to find this rare woodpecker on the opposite side of the road. A great double Bonus all within an hour!

Diard's Trogon (Male)

Trogons are unique for their multi-colored plumage and overall features which have endeared them to bird watches. It's a fairly rare specie. Hence any 'meet-up' is always treasured and generate great excitement.

Buffy Fish Owl (Female)

Came upon this beauty whilst looking for other bird species. It perched high up amongst the oil palm tree watching our every move with her big wrong eyes.

Barred Eagle Owl (Female)

This is the parent of the Juvenile I posted earlier. She had perched just opposite to the nest keeping a watchful eye over her only chick.
