It was a great delight that whilst out on an unplanned birding trip I chanced upon a pair of raptors - a pair of Black Shouldered Kites scurrying to and fro carrying materials to build a nest. A friend had invited me to come along for a visit to his 'farm house' located in Linggi. It was pleasant 1.5 hrs drive on the North-South Highway before branching out to the trunk road of old.
Along the route I could see about 15 odd Raptors enjoying the early morning thermal lift - circling high in the sky before disappearing to destination unknown. From the record shots they have the features of the OHBs, Oriental Honey Buzzards.
Below are some combo pics of the Black Shouldered Kites.
Different camera angle of the 'soft landing' into the nest. Low...lower...lower, lower, landed!
Thanks for dropping by. Hope you enjoy what you see. Cheers!
