It was a lucky encounter with this rare King. Considered the rarer one amongst the other Kingfisher family and hence a highly 'priced catch' by bird watchers and bird photographers alike. It is certain to give either one the adrenalin rush, if sighted.
It's usual habitat is along medium to large streams in evergreen broadleaved forests. Could sometimes be found in smaller streams at up to 825 meters above sea level.
