ONE OF THE SMALLEST FROG IN WORLD
One of the TOP STAR of the expedition has to be the sighting of one of the smallest frog in the world!!! Measuring not more than 1/2 " (10.6-12.8mm) this frog 'survives' and make it's home in the liquid of Pitcher Plants. Yet another marvel of nature. Whilst the liquid in Pitcher Plants kills and dissolves the insects which have the misfortune of falling into it and become a protein food source for the host, the little frog is none the worst and makes it's home within it!
The following pix demonstrates how tiny the frog by comparison to a human's palm.
