Buff-necked Woodpecker (Buff-necked Woodpecker, Male ( Meiglyptes tukki ) 21 cm

An uncommon woodpecker. I was lucky to 'stumble' upon it after following the familiar pecking sounds resonating loudly from a hollow tree trunk. I found myself well rewarded with this rare find. And a Lifer to boot!
