Paddyfield Pipits are ground feeders. Usually seen in pairs they forage for grubs and grass seeds on the ground. Preferring to 'stroll' it is able to fly from one location to another in search of fresh food source.
Here is a picture of one in an 'not so natural' perch, on a chain fence. The bokeh was good so I decided to feature the pic here.
