Black Bitten ( dupetor flvicollis ) 54 - 61 cm

One of the largest of the Bitten family. Habitat are mostly marsh land and lakes.

Common Kingfisher ( alcedo atthis ) 16 - 18 cm

It is one of the smallest in the Kingfisher family. Always a fittish bird it is difficult to get near for a close-up photo. At the slightest sound or sight of a human it will scurry away and will return to it's perch after a long interval. My next mission is to improve on the images. :-)

Crocodiles on the prowl.

Crocodiles are best kept at a good distance. These survivors from the pre-historic dinosour age are still thriving well given the right habitat. Even in captivity the crocs generally do better in the survival game compared with other species captured from the wild.

The Burmese albino python

The sight of any snake no matter how small will immediately spark fear and excitement. However this albino Burmese python seemed so 'unharming-like'. A rare and beautiful invertebrate. According to the handler the snake has been in his care for some 5 years. It was injured then and had to be treated. It looks like the snake is not going back into the forest anytime soon.
