The Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea ) 19 cm

The Grey Wagtail are seasonal visitors. They are solitary birds. On one occasion when driving up to a hill resort I counted 10 of them , each one alone and approximately 1 km +- apart. This bird is very 'shy' and are very sensitive to human intrusions. Once it detect or sight human presence it would take-off and fly to a safer distance. A frustration to photographers, especially if one have shorter lens.

I have tried to get better pics of this interesting bird - always wagging it's tail as it moves about foraging for food. Hence the 'wagtail' to it's name.

Here are a few pics for sharing.

Have a great day! Cheers!
