Black Magpie ( Platysmurus leucopterus) 39 - 41 cm

A lone bird was sighted during a weekend birding trip. Sightings of this fairly large bird, sometimes mistaken to be a crow, has become rarer these days. Hence it created much excitement when the photographs were examined at close range. Below are 3 images of this dark and handsome fella!
