Hill Myna (Gracula religiosa) 27 - 31 cm

The Hill Mynas are difficult to sight or photograph due in part to the greatly reduced numbers over the years from illegal trapping and sale by unscrupulous hunters. Hill Mynas could be trained, from young, to ad-lip human conversation, albeit short sentences eg Good morning, How are you? etc.

I was pleasantly surprised to have had the opportunity to photograph one solitary bird, although it was perched some distance away, preening. Here are 3 photos for sharing.
