The Red-wattled Lapwing ( Vanellus indicus ) 31.5 - 35 cm

The migratory season of waders from the winter in the north to the warmer clime has started. Amongst the many species of waders sighted around wetlands and sea shores around the country one colorful specie stands out. It's none other than the Red-wattled Lapwing. I was fortunate to have recorded this long legged and beautiful bird in a recent birding trip.

Thanks for dropping by. Cheers!
