The Buff-rumped Woodpecker (Meiglyptes tristis) 17 cm

I came across the pair of Male and Female late in the evening. Both were out foraging on the canopy of a rain forest tree. Keeping them company were a few Grey-chinned Minivets. After sometime spent on the tree canopy the Male flew to a lower tree and continue to forage. It provided photo opportunity at a close range. 

It's habitat are evergreen broadleaved forests up to 760 meters.
