The 'flourescent' Grey-chinned Minivet (Pericrocotus solaris ) 17 - 19 cm

The very first time I set my eyes on the Grey-chinned Minivet I was thrilled to bits by the extraordinary 'flourescent' red and yellow  plumage which differentiates between the male and female of this specie. The colors literally exude a blinding glow under the bright mourning sun! It's a marvel how nature created such magnificent colors for an otherwise tiny bird!

Like they say seeing is believing. So I reproduce a few  photos of the 3 birds, viz a male and female. Enjoy!!!

                               Male

                                Female

Hope you like what you see. Cheers!
