Up Close with The Crested Serpent Eagle (Spilornis cheela) 56 - 74 cm

How close could one get to a Raptor aka bird of prey? They are usually perched on branches of tall trees or flying high up in the sky. Most times beyond the clear sight of the naked eye. Powerful binoculars have to be used to see and ID them.

With that background what more could I ask for when this Raptor was  perched so close and was so friendly. I took my time framing the photos like one would when shooting portraits! Another lucky break with Raptor sighting. :-)

Sharing some phots here.

Thanks for dropping by. Cheers!
